Waitlists

We try to accommodate all patients as quickly as possible. Referrals are triaged, although typically handled on a first come, first serve basis. Each physician has their own waitlist, which fluctuates depending on demand and availability.

Oftentimes there is delay, in the range of months to over a year. If you have a referral in place with your family doctor, but do not have an appointment, you are encouraged to discuss this issue with your family physician. Sometimes alternative arrangements may need to be considered in the setting of a lengthy wait.

Some physiatrists in Vancouver are more broadly available for chronic pain assessments (cpsbc.ca).
